What is CyberEd?

CyberEd is a means of delivering virtual courses through use of the World Wide Web (WWW) and email. Courses are structured around a teacher's weekly assignments. Students participate in class by sharing thoughts and ideas through message boards and other electronic means.

There is no set time when students must be at their computers. The nature of this system allows for greater flexibility, both for students and teachers. The weekly structure keeps the class on track and focussed on the same educational goals while allowing an escape from the scheduling demands and conflicts of traditional university courses.

We have been in operation since Fall of 1995. We were the first university (we know of) to offer distance learning courses via the World Wide Web. As CyberEd and similar programs across the country expand, so too does the opportunity to obtain education when and where you most need it. As educators we are proud to have helped pioneer this endeavor and hope the trend toward never ending learning continues well into the next millennium.
