This is  a test
file named wc1 that has several sentences.
I don't think that punctuation  inside
a character should be treated as a
separator.If the person type in a
sentence without giving it suitable
spaces,your program still has to
figure out the correct word count.
For example, this paragraph has
342 characters, 61 words, and 10 lines.
